School Council
Welcome to our School Council
Our pupils are the most important members of our school community and at South Wootton Infant School we like our children to have a strong voice within our school.
Year Two children are elected by their peers as officers at the beginning of September and four other Year Two children are elected as class representatives. These children help in making important decisions regarding improvements to our school and get involved in issues that concern them and their peers in and around school.
The council meets two or three times each half term with Mrs Burt to discuss and share ideas and the messages are fed back to the whole school through assemblies or by the councillors visiting the Year One and Reception classes.
Year One children have the opportunity to join meetings in the Summer term in preparation for becoming officers in Year Two.
This year our Student Council comprises of:
Chairperson - Olivia
Vice Chairperson - Alice
Secretary - Penelope
Treasurer - Jenson
Otters Class Representatives - Charlie and Ella
Red Squirrels Class Representatives - Ayaat and Mea
